Courses Offered

  • To enrol in the BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Esports at Genesis ESPORTS Academy, students typically need:

    • 3 or more GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above
      (Preferably including English or Maths)

    OR

    • Completion of a Level 1 course in a related subject such as ICT, Media, Sport, or Business

    AND

    • A genuine interest in esports, gaming, or digital media

    • A positive attitude toward teamwork, communication, and project-based learning

    • Basic digital skills (e.g. using a computer, creating presentations, navigating platforms like YouTube or Twitch)

    Note:
    Support will be provided for learners who need to improve their English and Maths or build confidence in digital tools.

  • 🔻 BTEC Level 2 in Esports

    Overview:
    An introduction to the esports industry for students aged 16+. This course builds foundational knowledge and skills in competitive gaming, event planning, and digital content creation.

At Genesis ESPORTS Academy (GEA), education goes beyond the classroom. During your free time, you’ll have the chance to take part in enrichment courses that fuel your creativity, sharpen your skills, and prepare you for careers in the esports and digital industries.

These courses are designed by GEA and may include certificates awarded by NCFE or GEA-branded qualifications — giving you even more to add to your CV and portfolio.

Completing this enrichment will count toward an official NCFE-endorsed certificate.

  • Learn how to build your channel, stream professionally, and create high-quality video content using tools like OBS Studio, DaVinci Resolve, and Canva.

  • Dive into the fundamentals of designing your own game — from concept to prototype.

    • Design levels and characters

    • Use beginner-friendly game engines

    • Understand player experience and feedback

    • Certificate: Game Creation Lab by GEA

  • Train to become the voice of esports. Practice live commentary, improve your presentation style, and build your confidence on mic.

    • Call live matches with energy and insight

    • Use broadcasting tools and overlays

    • Record a demo reel of your casting

    • Certificate: GEA Shoutcasting Basics

  • Edit gameplay, highlight reels, or promo clips like a pro. Learn visual storytelling, basic animation, and personal branding strategies.

    🟢 Outcomes:

    • Edit with DaVinci Resolve or Premiere

    • Add sound effects, music, transitions

    • Create intros, outros & thumbnails

    • Certificate: Digital Storytelling with GEA

  • Want to lead? Learn how to manage a team, plan tournaments, or run a full esports event from start to finish.

    • Lead a mock team or school org

    • Run a mini esports tournament

    • Plan logistics, brackets, prizes, and marketing

  • To join the course, you'll need:

    • For Level 2:
